The Perfect Nurse

Most people remember with fondness the pleasure and comforts provided by mums when we were sick as children. Trying to rekindle some of those little kindnesses is a guaranteed way of ensuring your partner appreciates you.

  • Make sure there are clean fresh sheets on the bed
  • Make a hot water bottle
  • Light an aromatherapy candle
  • Make a little bedside table kit – medicines, drink, mags, gentle lamp
  • Make some tempting nibbles – cut things small (reminds us of being pampered as a child) and display carefully
  • Put on some gentle music
  • Leave alone to get some peace and quiet but pop back at regular intervals to see if all is well
  • Offer to go and get things if needed
